Description |
Seminole doll made with a palmetto fiber core and dressed with a patchwork skirt and cape. A traditional hairstyle is created from black fabric pulled over a cardboard form. The doll is wearing a skirt made from turquoise, black and yellow stripes with a central patchwork section of telephone pole patterned patchwork in maroon and light pink fabric. The cape is made from red, brown and khaki fabric. Both the cape and skirt have substantial amounts of rick-rack decoration on them. The doll has earrings and four loops of beaded necklaces made from multi-colored glass beads. Her eyes and mouth are indicated by stitches in yarn. |
