Description |
Blue sheath dress with nontraditional vertical patchwork. The dress is also nontraditional, as knee-length patchwork dresses are not often seen. There are four patchwork bands sewn together with various colored strips in vertical orientation. Narrow strips of fabric are sewn upon the wide strips. The dress is sewn on a sewing machine, and the neckline and hem are handsewn. The dress was donated to the Ah-Tah-Thi-K- Museum by Jacqueline Berg, whose aunt had the dress custom made in the 1950s or 1960s. |
