Description |
"Miccoksukee Village on Tamiami Trail" by Paul Arsenault. The village at Fakahatchee was home to Corey and Juanita Osceola, who are the grandparents of Tina Osceola. Tina often visited her family's camp there when she was a child, and she is depicted in the painting wearing a red cape and sewing patchwork with her aunt Tahama Osceola. Paul Arsenault painted the scene during a visit to the village in 1980, but has continued to make revisions to the painting since then. It was donated to the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum in 2023. |
