Description |
Patchwork jacket handmade for donor's mother in the 1940's. Base is an olive green cotton fabric with various single-color strips of fabric sewn on the shoulders, along the buttons down the front, which appear to be made of shell or bone, and around the bands of patchwork. The jacket features four bands of medium-sized patchwork - a tan and blue cross/sacred fire design on a maroon background, a black-in-orange diamond pattern, perhaps snake or alligator, a tan checkered design on a blue background, and a pink, blue, and black diamond pattern, perhaps snake or alligator. |
