Object Name Moccasin
Description Single Southeast moccasin, probably Cherokee or Creek.
Single adult soft-soled, front seam moccasin. The moccasin is made from a single piece of hide. Floral motif beaded decoration cover the two seams on the top of the toe and the back of the heel. The inner side of the cuff is lined with a plain weave brown (silk?) fabric and the outer edge of the cuff is bordered with a folded section of pink silk ribbon. The ties at the front of the moccasin are made from a brown silk ribbon sewn to the hide at either side of the front opening.
