White plaster cast of Steven Bowers. This plaster cast was presumably used in the process of making a bronze sculptural bust, but we do not have the bronze bust nor do we know the location of it. The metal rod supporting the plaster cast is screwed in to a wooden plank base. Attached to the base is a cardboard card that reads "Seminole Nation, Steven Bowers". The surface texture of the skin is from the life mold casting, but the plaster has been worked with carved eyes and eyebrows and combed hairline. The hankerchief over his shoulders and tied in the front is made from plaster covered paper machete or other interior textile support.
