Object Name Doll
Description Male palmetto husk fiber doll. The doll's body, arms, legs and head are made from palmetto husk fibers. The doll wears black pants and a green, red, orange, yellow and purple striped shirt (no patchwork) that is tucked into his pants. Around his neck is tied a purple scarf. The doll has a black fabric head covering that is stitched onto his head and tied on with a turquoise cotton thread. His eyes and mouth are indicated with stitches of cotton thread. The clothing is constructed with cream colored machine stitches and sewn onto the body with the same thread but in hand made stitches. The dolls feet have and interior brown cardboard form (visible through the damage at the back of his heals).
