Sweet grass basket made by Lorraine Posada (Wind Clan), completed near the end of April 2004. The sweet grass coils are wrapped with cotton embroidery thread in brown, red, orange, yellow and cream. The image of a snake and the word "SNAKE" are embellished on the side of the basket in brown, red, orange, yellow and white glass beads. The beads are all strung on a cream colored twine that is visible on the inside of the basket. There is a palmetto fiber circle in the center bottom of the basket. Two horizontal handles protruding from either side of the basket. The handles are formed from one of the sweet grass basket coils that is wound with cream cotton embroidery thread. The top coil of sweet grass that forms the lip of the basket is wound with red, orange, yellow, white and maroon glass beads that form a diamond pattern.
