Object Name Doll
Description Female palmetto fiber doll with embroidered face and black cloth hair. The doll is dressed in a red, light blue and black cape with purple and orange rickrack applique. The doll's skirt is red, green and white with black and turquoise rickrack trim. The doll also wears multicolored beaded necklaces. A tag attached to the back of the doll reads, "This is an authentic Florida Seminole Doll made in the Everglades by the Seminole Indians. The body is made of Palmetto Fibre. The costume is a reproduction of the traditional Seminole woman's dress. Distributed by Tropic-Art Novelty, Mfrs. Miami, Fla.".
