Object Name Coat
Description Buckskin frock-style coat, thread sewn, possibly Cherokee, European cut. Cape has two rows of fringe, the bottom is similarly trimmed. (both were probably originally trimmed with fur strips, remnants of red trade cloth welt remain) The back slit is topped by a fringed panel. There are multiple repairs, some sinew sewn. Marked "Su.1" at collar and "Wm. Joniker Su.1" on the interior in ink. There are no button holes, although there might be slight remains of a hook and eye closure system.
