Object Name Moccasin
Description Child size southeast moccasins. One piece, front seam, made of smoked deer hide with fine bead decoration. Possibly Cherokee. Marked on one with "Seneca ? 18th Cent"

Small child size soft soled center seam moccasins made from one piece of hide with back and front seam. Fine beaded floral decoration is over the front seam of the moccasin and a double diamond a with side curls decorates the back seam. The upper cuff is lined with a green (damask?) silk fabric and a pink silk ribbon is folded over the outer edge of the cuff. There is a row of white glass beads running along the top edge of the flap/edge. They are oriented so that the center holes of the beads point towards the leather cuff.
