Object Name Pestle
Description Wooden hand carved pestle, used for pounding corn. The pestle is made carved from wood with buldging areas on either end. The end of the pestle that fit into the mortar is slightly more pointed than the other handle end. There is a small smudge of green paint located 10 cm up from the pointed end of the pestle. This green paint matches paint found on the 1996.66.1 mortar. The surface of the pestle is well worn from use.
