Object Name Doll
Description Large female palmetto husk fiber doll with patchwork skirt, fabric cape with small baby doll attached to it, and eleven pinwheel sequins sewn to the edge of her black fabric covered hair style. The doll's skirt has two bands of patchwork in black, red, white, yellow, orange, and maroon fabric. The skirt also has turquoise, white, and red strips of fabric and white, red, blue, yellow and black ric-rac accents. The doll's cape has a main turquoise fabric section with red fabric at the collar and lower bands of black and pink fabric. Yellow, white, red and maroon ric-rac decorate the cape along with a row of large silver metallic sequins around the shoulders. The small doll attached to the cape is made from palmetto husk fiber, and green and orange fabric. The little doll has a necklace and earrings of multicolored glass beads. The large doll has nine bands of multicolored glass beaded necklaces and two large looped earrings made from multicolored glass beads. Her eyes and lips are indicated by sewn yarn stitches.
