Object Name Doll
Description Seminole doll with a wooden core including carved head and attached wooden arms. The doll's nose, chin, eye sockets, and hair style are carved in the wooden central form. Black paint is used to delineate the hairline, eyebrows, ears and eyes.

The doll is dressed in a skirt made from horizontal patches of fabric. The back of the skirt still has hints of the original colors. The lowest band of fabric is yellow, the next (and largest band) is blue, followed by small pink and black rows. The shirt is made from a red checked plain weave fabric. The cape is made from two sections of plain weave fabric in an olive green geometric floral pattern and red striped pattern. Two rows of applique fabric (blue and red) are sewn over the join.

The doll has five black cut glass beaded necklaces on red string around her neck.
