The matchbook has the bust of Medicine Crow on the closing flap printed in brown, yellow, green, black and orange on a yellow background. He is labeled, "Medicine Crow" and "Crow Chief". The text panel on the back has a black eagle design in the top left corner and reads, "The Crow war chief, Medicine Crow, led his warriors with the Shoshonis to save General Crook and his forces from complete disaster at the famous Battle of the Rosebud with the Sioux in 1876."
The flat matches have black fronts and backs with blue sulfur tips.
