Object Name Coin, Commemorative
Description Gold plated sterling silver medallion. The obverse has the head of Osceola with a small standing figure of Osceola with his rifle to the left of it. The reverse is split in half. The top half has a matte finish and imprinted in this area is "The American Indian Collection". The lower half is polished to a shine and has raised lettering that reads, "Osceola Chief of Seminole Indian Tribe 1804-1838". The metal was identified by the makings along the edge of the coin which is stamped with "Sterling/24KT EGP". After this labeling there are four small circles stamped with C, H, 78, and P in them.
