Description Color exterior photograph depicting a large group of people gathered in front of a statue of Sam Jones. Among those pictured is Mitchell Cypress. The photo was taken on September 16, 1995 during a dedication ceremony, in which a life-size bronze statue of Sam Jones (Abiaka) was unveiled at Tree Tops Park located in Davie, Florida. Created by Bradley Cooley and his son Bradley Cooley, Jr., the statue depicts Sam Jones leading a woman and child to safety.

This event was covered in the September 29, 1995 edition of the Seminole Tribune, Vol. 18 No. 9. The associated articles are titled, "Sam Jones Honored: Abiaka Statue Unveiled Amid Protests, Praise", written by Charles Flowers; and "Sam Jones (ABIAKA) Dedication Ceremony Held", written by T.J. Young.
