Description Color exterior photograph depicting a group of people surrounding the gravesite of Seminole war leader Osceola. Among those pictured are Jimmie O'Toole, Mary Gopher and Laura Mae Osceola. The photo was taken at the Fort Moultrie National Monument located on Sullivan's Island, South Carolina. The photo was taken during a week long trip (April 20-28, 1997) for 18 Hollywood elders and their chaperones. The trip was sponsored by Max Osceola Jr.

This event was covered in the May 9, 1997 edition of the Seminole Tribune, Vol. 20 No. 8. The article titled, "Hollywood Elder's Dream Trip: A Visit to Osceola's Grave", was written by Irene Oakes-Yazzie.

This photograph is part of a group of images transferred from Seminole Media Productions (SMP). Most, if not all, of the photographs were taken by Seminole Tribune newspaper reporters.
