The Seminole Tribe of Florida includes five reservations: Hollywood. Big Cypress, Brighton, Immokalee and Tampa.
Ahfachkee School on the Big Cypress reservation is the only Seminole Indian school. Most Seminole children attend public school.
There is no "Seminole" language; the traditional languages spoken by the Seminoles are Mikasuki and Creek.
In desperation, the U.S. Army used blood-hounds during the Second Seminole War to try to find the Seminoles who refused to surrender.
