Seminole trace their lineage through their mother and their mother's clan either Panther, Bear, Big Town, Snake, Otter, Deer, Bird or Wind.
The First Seminole War began on Nov. 21, 1817, when General Edmund Gaines attacked Cheif Neamthla near Fowltown.
