Scope & Content letter from George Brown in Newnansville, to Mannevillette Elihu Dearing Brown in Utica. George is glad that Manne recieved the money he sent. He describes how he has aged since Manne last saw him and says he hopes to go to New England in the summer, and that Manne shouldn't come to Florida before the fall. He says the Aldrich's and Ellen's family will most like move to Key West, and he is not impressed with the place. He says he did good business up to 1847, but has lost 3000 dollars in the past two years, and that noone else knows that. Finally he says he is still a bachelor and was nearly engaged a couple years ago, but backed out
