Letter written from the Ordnance Office in Washington (signature could not be read) to Capt. E. Harding at the August Arsenal in Georgia.
The letter reads:
"Three hundred carbine cartridge boxes, suitable for musket calibre, have been ordered from the New York Deopt to Gare'y Ferry, agreeable to Lt. Metcalfe's requisition transmitted in your letter of the 19th inst."
