Letter from Corinna (Mrs. C. E. Aldrich) to Manne (Mannevillette Elihu Dearing Brown), mentions having nothing much of interest to relate, not being able to say who the candidates are for the next presidency, and that since writing "from the theatre of a war" that something should be said about it. Relates that an officer was overheard saying that if one lived for three generations "he might stand a chance of seeing it's termination". Also mentions the house "Llangollen", at which she is staying, and encourages Manne to visit the original Llangollen in Wales. Encourages Manne to write and say where he is and how long he will be gone.
