Scope & Content Newspaper clipping located on the right of the sheet is from The Tampa Morning Tribune. The clipping is entitled, "Scientists to Study Glades Plant Life; Indians as Guides." The clipping is in regards to a trip to the Everglades by Dr. Howard A. Kelly, consulting surgeon at Johns Hopkins University Hospital and Dr. A.K. Small, head of the New York Botanical Gardens. The two scientists will spend a month in Big Cypress to make a scientific study of plant life. Tribal member Tommy Doctor is cited in the article.

Newspaper clipping located on the left of the sheet are from an unknown newspaper. The short clipping is entitled, "Campbell's Turned Loose." The clipping is in regards to the release of brothers Tom and George Campbell, who were facing charges for assaulting two Seminole Indians.

The clippings were part of a research notebook that belonged to Francis Frost White, an employee of the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) in Dania in the 1930s and 40s.
