Letter is written from Tallhassee; mentions Miami Rivers; the keys; Everglades. Includes, "before I left Tallahasee (I) mentioned to the Secretary of War...and his answer on my return has a prospect of a speedy removal of the Indians. I have concluded therefore to take no action against the Indians..but to await the next session of Congress. Therefore no troops will be raised this summer if the Indians keep quiet."
