Object Name Postcard
Scope & Content Color postcard of a Semionle family with two covered ox carts. The Seminole man stands with a rifle. The caption at the bottom of the postcard reads, "Seminole Indian, Hunting in the Everglades, Florida." The reverse of the postcard is divided with "Message may be written on this side" on the left and "Address only on this side" on the right. The printing along the left side is "Published by the Cochrane Co. Palatka, Fla. Made in U.S.A." The handwritten note in cursive reads, "This is the Seminole Indians. I met one the other day and all he had on was a shirt - came to his knees and pretty thin at that. Although so dirty looking to."
