Scope & Content Silas Casey to his father, Wanton Casey; He writes to Sacketts Harbour NY re: Capt. Towson evacuating and moving to Jessup. He writes that he has not heard if they received a check for $100 on the U.S. Branch Bank NY. Includes, "Capt Towson has lately been evacuated, the troops have gone to Jessup, 300 miles below. If the Spanish who have invaded Mexico should make a diversion to the upper provinces it would make stirring work in that country. I should like to be there."
