(This date has been corrected by someone to read 1844, but this is clearly not the correct date. Manne is in Rome, Aunt Mary has just died, but Charles is alive. Charles died in 1840 and Aunt Mary died in late 1839. This letter probably dates to March 15, 1840)
Letter is from Manne (Mannevillette Elihu Dearing Brown) in Rome to his sisters in Newnansville, Fla. He expresses sadness at Aunt Mary's death, and hopes Charles and Aunt Ann have gotten better. He also instructs his sisters on the proper way to address letters to him. Then he gives more details of Rome.
