Document signed by J.S. Anderson, Jackson Guip, Wm. J. Rey, and William Gilbert certifying that they were under the command of Captain James M. Calhoun in the war against the Creek Indians. The document states, in part, that Captain Calhoun "was with his company during all of thsi time, that he commanded his company personally in all of these swamps, and that during all of this time, and in all of these places, and admidst all of the dangers and difficulties, that we encountered, Captain Calhoun kept steady at his post."
