Letter from Mr. Walker to Mannevillette Elihu Dearing Brown, expressing intense disappointment in not hearing from Manne for two months, not know what his plans are, and hearing from a mutual friend that Manne has no plans to return home in the near future. He laments that all the preparations he was making for Manne that winter will go to waste, including the commission he arranged, for a painting. He again raves about the paintings they are holding for Manne, but is distressed that they don't know how to dole them out. He then writes about local artists and acquaintences.
